Kora connects your organisation with a new funding stream. We can let your supporters know that with their help and 999 other supporters giving a small 2 cents of their discount, it all adds up! Purchasing 50 litres every week, will quickly add up to more than $50,000 every year as regular funding for your organisation.
How Kora Taupua works for non-profit organisations?
Kora offers a landing page to share your funding goals, and help to drive supporters into action by signing up for Kora. Often the landing page has a flavour of both our brands, incorporating logos and branding colour combinations, as appropriate, along with customised messaging.
Once your supporters sign up, merely purchasing fuel from Kora fuel partners (Waitomo or Mobil) will generate quarterly payments back to your organisation. This is what we call Kora Taupua 'to support'.
The exciting thing about Kora Taupua - it is more than a 'one off' contribution. Build and expand your base of supporters using Kora fuel cards, to quickly develop a regular funding opportunity.
How it works for supporters?
Not-for-profit supporters simply sign up to Kora, They can then choose to give 2, 4, or 10 cents off every litre as donation. This goes directly to their favorite charity and helps to achieve important funding goals.
There are more than 300 sites all around New Zealand, so wherever they go with Kora, the savings and giving will follow.

We’re a fuel card company that offers Kiwis a better way to buy petrol or diesel. We work with major fuel brands (starting with Waitomo and Mobil) to give you a great discount every time you fill up at locations all round NZ.
Kora Taupua is a way for GST-registered, Not-For-Profit organisations to earn extra funding based on an agreed cents per litre, for every litre of fuel their members purchase with their Kora fuel cards. Kora Taupua means ’support’ in Te reo Māori.
Kora Taupua is calculated and paid direct to your bank account at the end of every quarter.
The calculation is based on the number of litres of fuel purchased by your supporters using their Kora fuel cards in that quarter period, multipled by the cents per litre they have nominated to give.
We will never ask for access to your confidential membership listings / details. Instead we will work with you by providing some marketing materials which you can use to communicate the Kora offer via your own media channels, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, newsletters, meetings etc...
We know that your supporters will likely need to see the Kora message up to 7 times before they ’jump into action’ and sign up. So, regular messaging about the Kora programme is the best way to build your supporters network and earn Kora Taupua.
Normally we would charge an annual fee for an organisation, however we want to support not-for-profits, so lets chat and see what we can do!
For your supporters, our Kora membership fee is $2 per month. This is normally covered by the first fill. If on the GIVE 4 offer, then for every 50L fill they would save $3 and give $2.
